Legitimized scam with somewhat questionable tactics. Tenants or Landlord alike, BEWARE! This is not a legitimate business transaction- do not allow this business to make you believe they need to check your fire alarms/smoke detectors, don’t give any private information to them. If it was a legitimate transaction they would have your information from the real estate, & you’d be expecting their call.
